We remove traditional barriers to college by offering free tuition and textbooks for all enrolled students, as well as transportation and remediation as appropriate.
We provide a robust assortment of wraparound supports such as intensive advising, “college knowledge” programming, and social-emotional interventions to ensure that students apply to, matriculate at, and complete college.
GEO has developed curricular pathways with its higher education partners that encompass a traditional liberal arts course sequence leading to postsecondary enrollment, as well as professional or technical certificate options that lead to high-wage, high-demand careers.
Students attend a “jump-start” summer program before their freshman year in high school. The summer program provides an introduction to key college-going skills and competencies, and offers academic remediation or advancement.
Students can earn additional credits during subsequent summer sessions or have internships or apprenticeships.
We help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) –– and provide students assistance with application and standardized test fees.
Key industry, business, and civic leaders are engaged to create strong partnerships that benefit GEO schools’ graduates.
