Is going to college important? Is completing college? We believe both are important, but once you go, completing college is most important. Many states, and the federal government, provide loans, grants and scholarships for students to go to college. And many students do go after they graduate from high school. But how many of these grant/loan/scholarship recipients complete college? If they don't complete college, why not?

GEO Indiana Schools Shine in Reading

The Indiana Department of Education released 3rd grade reading scores this morning during the State Board of Education meeting. Both GEO schools (21st Century Academy and GEO Next Generation Academy) in Indiana are in the top 5% and 6% in the state in improvement this year. That's against all schools in the state!

Last month, I reported all three GEO schools in Baton Rouge and Baker beat the state and their local districts...and by a large margin... on the state's literacy test. This week, the state released results from its standardized test known as LEAP. Once again, GEO's schools showed well.

The banner above lists the names of 139 students who earned full associate degrees while in our high schools. There are four other students who also earned a full bachelor's while in our high schools.

All of these students graduated from our high schools with college degrees and completely debt free.
